We have a resident Cover Girl here at The Paper Passion!

Our DT Coordinator, Nicole, has designed this fabulous layout that is featured on the cover of the upcoming Winter issue of Canadian Scrapbooker, shown here.

You can get a copy at The Paper Passion store at the end of this month.

Photo Contest
To enter our Cover Girl Photo Contest, send us your best winter/holiday themed photo to rosayorke@thepaperpassion.com by Saturday, Nov. 21st. Along with your photo, please include 1-3 lines of appropriate journalling. If your photo is chosen by the Design Team as their favourite, it will be emailed to everyone who is participating in the layout contest. The winning photo will not be made public until the winning layout appears on our blog. You may enter up to a maximum of 3 photos taken by yourself. Photos may have been taken prior to the contest start date.

Layout Contest
To enter our Cover Girl Layout Contest, PM Deborah with your email address by Saturday, Nov. 21st. You will receive the winning photo and journalling by email. You will create a layout (no smaller than 8.5X11) using the photo and journalling provided, along with any supplies from your stash. Send your completed layouts to rosayorke@thepaperpassion.com by Saturday, Dec. 5th. The Design Team will choose their favourite as the winner.

Both winners will receive a prize, and the winning layout will be featured on The Paper Passion Blog sometime during the week of Dec. 6th!!!

Visit the Mission Create blog today!

 

For the month of October, The Paper Passion sponsored a exciting new challenge blog called 

Mission Create.

Every second Sunday a new Mission to Create scrapbook challenge will be posted.

How it works:

For each Mission you will receive a list of 5 challenge ideas that have been individually selected by each of the MC Creative Team as well as the Guest Designer! Your Mission is to then create a layout that includes the challenge ideas!

You can use as little as 3 of the items from the challenge list or as many as all 5, it is up to you!

 

To be eigible to win the fabulous October Kit from the Paper Passion (pictured below),

you must complete MC 001 or MC 002 (or both, for 2 chances!) 

and link it up to the Mission Create blog by Nov. 7th.

Glimmer Mist

There are TONS of glimmer mists in The Paper Passion's store... have you picked one up yet and given it a try?

I have to admit -- I was pretty shy about giving it a go..I mean, what was I going to do with it!! Then, I saw some amazing projects in the gallery and decided what did I have to lose!

You can use the mist on plain cardstock to transform it to a shimmery hue or two.. like I did with these cards:

 

 

You can use it to add a sheen/shimmer to some chipboard or cardstock alphas, over a mask, as a background on a layout.. really.. the ways are endless!!

Shown here is the Saturday sketch club challenge from October 24, 2009. I used a Becky Fleck Page Map sketch and interpreted it in my own way using the yummy Webster's, some Prima goodness and finished it a beautiful hat pin - all available in the online store.

If sketches aren't your thing, come check out the weekly DT challenges (where you never know what you'll get!) or for you cardies, our Sunday easy card challenge We have colour challenges, quote/title/word and even photography challenges - something to suit every level and scrapbooker out there. You can even offer up your own member challenge and get the group involved in that. Like I said, something for everyone!

The gallery is full of spectacular work and we invite you come by and have a look and see where YOU can fit in!
